As a Carer, you will need at least 1 years previous experience in care and will possess your SVQ2 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, or be willing to work toward this (as per SSSC specified time-scale).

In this role, you’ll assist adults (including older people), recovering, or disabled clients with the activities of everyday living. You’ll provide support and companionship to clients and help clients handle day-to-day self-care, such as toileting and hygiene. You will also communicate with families of clients to explain to them of the Service user’s condition and the progress they make in your care.

As a Senior Carer, you’ll need 1 years previous experience working with people in residential or community care. You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people. Due to the nature of this position, it is essential that you have an SVQ3 or equivalent in health and social care. You’ll also require a valid medication administration certificate or be prepared to work towards this.
